Marshall Christian Academy proudly invites those in the East Texas area to dine with Kirk Cameron, star of the number one inspirational movie, Fireproof.

Kirk began his acting career as a child and is most remembered as, Mike Seaver, on the sit-com, "Growing Pains" (1985-1991). He also played, Buck Williams in the popular movie series, Left Behind.

It is for his role as husband and father that our school's leadership team has invited him to minister. Kirk met and married Chelsea Noble in his "Growing Pain" years. Together they have served the Lord for 17 years and have 6 children. We were privileged to hear him speak in February and impressed by his real life walk with Jesus and down to earth profile. When he was speaking, we could see that he offered more than just words. He has a godly marriage and is a family man.

You are invited to the banquet, a spectacular event in which Kirk will be speaking -- October 23, 2009. 7:00-9:00 p.m. There will be a reception serving light hors d'oeuvres at 5:30 p.m. At that time, for those who are interested, there will be opportunity to have your photo taken with Kirk. Following the reception, we will be served an exquisite meal.

The Vision of the school

Marshall Christian Academy's vision is to develop disciples and leaders for God's kingdom through the avenues of education, athletics and spiritual training.

It is the desire of Marshall Christian Academy to share Kirk Cameron's life giving ministry with the East Texas Community. Some of our school's leaders, privileged to attend one of his events, immediately felt he was 'real'; a 'real' husband, a 'real' father, and above all, a 'real' Christian. He wasn't just speaking about something, he was imparting a part of who he is. Right away, it became our desire to share his life and ministry with East Texas.

Leaving a world that was all about him, his life today, is all about Jesus, what he can do in His service and how he can share Jesus with others. His notoriety has given him a unique platform on which he can share his commitment to the Lord, to his marriage and to his family.

Youth Explosion

The Kirk Cameron Youth Explosion! It's happening the day after the banquet. The academy is excited to host this special event. Our intention is to gather youth from throughout the Marshall and East Texas area to present an opportunity for them to encounter the message and love of Jesus Christ, through Kirk's dynamic ministry. Our hope is that this event would further foster relationships leading to other youth rallies.
